About The Blog and the Bloggers

This here blog was started in April 2009 by two girls named Skwirt and JuJu. They had their two best friends, Madi and KyKy, as helpers. Well, Ky almost never came on because she is busy practicing to be a famous figure skater. That spring and summer was the best period of time this blog has had, EVER. But then, hardships. A blowout with another site (die-hard Funkies will know who) resulted in panic. (It was brought up, again, in spring ’10, but we’re all friends now). The usual haters. School starting again. In fall and winter the funky blog slowly started to die,  and the only people to come on anymore were JuJu and Madi. So we started to try to get the site back on track by posting more often than ever and having an extreme site makeover!! In summer 2010, the site became alive again and we are doing our best to keep it that way. Usually, during the months of September to about April, the blog’s views are very low because everyone is in school. That sort of happened again in fall 2010. Now, in late winter/very early spring 2011, we are warning our Funkyfans that all four of us are entering high school next September. That means that soon the blog will end. However, JuJu promises to stay in touch, even after everyone’s quit.And if you’re wondering about the name, “Funkytwins,” it’s because Skwirt & JuJu were friends like twins and are just awesome..hence “twins” and “funky.” Also, you should know that we’re GIRLS. We’re sick of people talking about us as “he” because we are FEMALE!!!!! Discuss us as “they” or, in singular, “she!” OKAY??

Rules of the Site

There are three rules on this site. (1) NO ADVERTISING ANYWHERE BUT THE BLOGROLL PAGE (2) BEHAVE PLEASE (3) IF YOU SIGN UP TO BE A BUNNY BANDIT YOU BETTER BE ACTIVE. Excuse the obnoxious purple fonts, but, we’re serious. Rule 1 is particularly important because it’s extremely rude go to site just to advertise. If we catch you advertising, we will edit the link out of your comment and your name…yes, it’s perfectly fine to put your site link in your name when commenting, but unless we expressly tell you otherwise, do not advertise in a comment. Things like posting links and saying “Visit My Site!” count as advertising. Rule 2 is also important because we hate arguing. Please be friendly and keep your language rated PG, seriously. And  don’t forget that chatspeak (r, u, lol, nvm, kk, gtg…) is okay, but don’t use the annoying n00bspeak (1/|/ 50 4|/|350|/|3 translation: I’m So Awesome). Rule 3 is another big one because the Bunny Bandits (our blog’s army) are very cool and the meetings are so much fun, and we have had more failures than I can remember.  Apart from that, we really hope you have fun and enjoy your experience here at the funky blog.

11 Oreo 11, AKA JuJu, one of the original leaders of Funkytwins!

When JuJu goes on CP, chances are she is either earning coins, looking for free stuff, or on a Famous Penguin Hunt. JuJu loves to party and is very friendly. (Be warned, she can get craaazy.)  She is an amazing friend and will do whatever for the people she loves.  She likes to have a CP boyfriend, (and sometimes cheat on the them 😉 ) but is often pissed that no guys want a non-member girlfriend.  She is a a huge advocat for non-member rights, and is an off-and-on member. She is fun to be around and likes to just hang out and have fun!

Skwirt621, AKA Skwirt, the other Original Leader of the site!! 🙂

This is Skwirt, who doesn’t come on much anymore. *sniffles* She is always looking to just have fun, and she’s very loyal to her friends. She knows never to give up and she gets excited easily.  She is almost never a member, and has some coin code items.  She is like, the best friend ever.  She is a huge non-member right advocate, and although she may not post often she always posts cute little items when she does 🙂 Her heart is always in the right place and her happiness is usually contagious. She loves to party too. xD

 

Jonaslove456, AKA Madi, one of the original helpers! (HAS QUIT)

Madi is another one who loves to party and just be weird. She is fun to be around too, and although she tends to complain a lot, we love her anyway! She literally never has any coins, and her membership just ran out, but she has some coin code items. She likes to get a boyfriend, and then toy with his emotions, and then dump him. She sometimes keeps a CP boyfriend if she really likes him, though. She loves hanging out with friends. When she is on CP, she’s either really bored or looking to play her favorite game – The Obnoxious Bubblegum Girl, which she invented.

 

Fcel, AKA KyKy or Fcel, the other ~Original Helper~ (WAS NEVER ACTIVE)

(We apologize for the small player card.) Fcel got her name by spelling “Facial” wrong. She is the oldest, rarest penguin of the bunch. She literally NEVER comes on, but is still a good friend.  If she ever comes on (which is rare) she likes to play fashion shows. She is very hyper and happy-go-lucky and loves to have fun and do stupid things.

A Question: Can You Work on The Site?

Nope! But before you go have a hissy fit, let us explain. We think authors, admins, etc should be special helpers and friends you trust, not just a hired hand. You can, however, win a position as author/admin for a limited time from the Donations and Comment and Win pages. [Note that we have the right to fire you at any time, even if we ask you to help.] If you’re a great friend to us and we love and trust you, and your site is respectable enough, then we’ll probably ask you for help! Otherwise, please don’t ask to be an author, admin, helper of any sort, or to ever join the Funkytwins Team.

We admit this has little or nothing to do with the Team but who cares. It involves the site, in a way. Teehee. Everybody loves emoticons, am I right? Of course. Here’s a guide to all the smilies on WordPress that we know – maybe there’s more? The way to make them is to just type the code in a normal comment BUT don’t use the spaces! If we didn’t include the spaces only the picture would show up!
